I am a fan of wild west games. There are not many around, so I thought I would post a list of the games I know of.
Please feel free to add your own games, and mods
Smokin' Gun's - ID tech 3 game engine (quake 3) so it is sort of dated looking graphics, but it is still quite fun, and FREE!! They have a great Dual mode, and a few other game types like robbing banks, trains, and stage coaches. and the usual deathmatch, and TDM
Fist full of frags- (spoof of old Clint Eastwood movie "Fist full of Dollars") This is a discontinues Half life 2 mod. There is still a small comunity of gamers, and a few dedicated servers still alive in USA and Europe.
Damnation- Yet another Codemasters game excelling in turdware. It is a western / steampunk themed game. There is multiplayer, and Co-op if I remember correctly. Xbox 360 controller enabled. multiplayer was semi amusing, but the single player game was REALLY bad. Although I really liked all the artwork.
Western revenge- HL2 mod early in development.
Outlaws and lawmen- Hl2 mod with a beta version released, it is a cross between Counterstrike, and Day of Defeat, in a very nice western setting.
Call of Juarez- Very nice "next generation" game. Had some interesting game play. I have it for Xbox 360, I have no idea if the PC version has multiplayer servers still alive.
Call of Juarez 2, bound in blood- Will give a review in the next couple of days, I just bought both 1+2 tonight for PC.
Outlaws- Ancient Lucasart game. Was really fun for its time. i can still hear all the bad guy voice overs "We are commin' to get ye' sheriff!!"
Law of the west- Great Commodore 64 game! Before 3d shooters , there was this game! Can still play it with Vice64 and CSS64.
Badlands- Konami's contribution to the Laserdisk industry in the early 1980's. History's first one button game! That was it! 1 button to shoot!! what else do you really need!! Pew pew pew! Still playable with Daphnie and the rights to the original laserdisks (can still be purchased from the daphnie online store).
Stampede- One of Activisions first games. Bob Whitehead (sounds like the name of a pimple) was a great game programmer. This was not one of his greatest games. You roped cows, and avoided cow skulls and cactus.
Boot Hill- Histories first cowboy game in 1977. The game was reflected over a motif of a wild west town. This was the second video game I ever played when I was young. It can still be played using MAME and the rights to the original ROM chips. (can be bought with the hotrod joystick for mame, and a couple of mame cabinet makers sell the rights as well)
Well, did i miss any? Please add your own!!
