Synergies, ranks and XP
Hey,

Here is some info regarding synergy effects, ranks (how much XP you need for each rank) and experience (what actions grants you XP and how much).

Note: These values may be subject to change during the BETA.

Synergies

Regeneration = Amount of health regenerated per second (all professions have this ability)
Accuracy = Spread multiplicator (lower is better)
Damage = Amount of damage bonus
Armor = Amount of damage taken
Critical hit = Chance of getting critical hit (x2 damage). Note that the chance of getting a critical hit various from weapon to weapon.

Chance of getting a critical hit for each weapon per bullet:

Negotiator (Gunslinger): 7.74%
Buffalo rifle (Trapper): 20%
Winchester (Deputy): 9.25%
Coach gun (Blaster): 10%
Admiral revolver (sidearm): 9.97%
Gatling gun: 1.5%

Ranks

Rank 2: 40xp
Rank 3: 170xp
Rank 4: 400xp
Rank 5: 700xp
Rank 6: 1100xp
Rank 7: 1700xp
Rank 8: 2300xp
Rank 9: 3100xp

Experience

Knocking down an enemy: 30xp
  • +10xp if the enemy was knocked down by the Gunslinger's fanning ability or Blaster's dynamite blast or a powder keg blast.
  • +10xp for head shot.
  • +10xp if the enemy was tagged by a friendly Deputy.
Killing an already knocked down enemy: 40xp

Also, the experience gained from knocking down or killing an already knocked down enemy is modified based on the level difference between you and your enemy accordingly:
  • +10%/rank below your enemy.
  • -10%/rank above your enemy.
Example 1: If a rank 5 Gunslinger kills an already knocked down rank 3 enemy Blaster, the Gunslinger will get: 0.8 * 40 = 32xp
Example 2: If a level 2 Deputy head shots a tagged level 7 enemy trapper, the deputy will get: 1.5 * (30xp + 10xp + 10xp) = 75xp

Assist kill (the player who did the most damage to an enemy without killing him / her): 10xp
Revive team mate: 50xp
If a tagged enemy gets knocked down / killed, the tagger is granted: 10xp (only applicable to the Deputy)
Untag a team mate: 10xp (only applicable to the Deputy)
Destroy enemy Trapper's trap: 10xp
Catch enemy in a trap: 45xp (only applicable to the Trapper)
Picking up spawn flag: 10xp
Returning enemy spawn flag: 20xp
Carry gold sack / powder keg: 5xp each 2.5 seconds

Robbery / Greed specific

Bring gold sack to base: 50xp

Powerkeg specific

Blowing up the bank safe: 300xp
Blowing up the water wheel: 300xp
Blowing up a windmill: 300xp
Blowing up a door: 50xp
Blowing up a wall: 50xp
Blowing up a hang bridge: 50xp

Conquest specific

Capture neutral zone: 40xp
Capture enemy zone: 30xp

Cool thx! :=) But what is the difference between the Ranks? Example: What is the difference between Rank 2 and 5? It would be cool if you get Equipment like clothes etc for Higher Ranks or Weapons(Ok its hard to balance this)! But Clothes would be cool^^

Hi Martin!
Thanks for posting, that is some very useful information for us powergamers. Smile

@Dirty Harry: the difference between the ranks are that the higher your rank, the better your synergy effect/healing rate. If you are a level 2 gunslinger, your accuracy synergy effect will be lower than when you are level 5.
There are no visible signs on the character that indicate his rank (yet).

Q: Could a player boost his teammate up a few levels by falling and letting his teammate pick him up over and over?

50xp seems like a good chunk, do that a few times at the start and you got yourself a near lvl 3 player instantly.

I'm curious if you only get xp if he is taken down by an enemy or you only recieve 50xp per person once every spawn?

It's possible but you would have to have an enemy to shoot him down or have him jump off a high roof

Oh, and, 50 exp is no where near good. A kill which takes maybe 5 seconds can get you about 70 or 80 or so I believe.
