Well, before I was pretty ecstatic about Lead and Gold. I still love the gameplay, and I'll undoubtedly continue to play it despite the following gripe I have. But it is a rather massive gripe.

The people just...suck. At least, the ones who actually communicate. They are nearly on par with the Counterstrike community, which is pretty hard to believe. Always whining, complaining to their own teammates to do better despite their own terrible performance, accusing eachother of "hacking", calling others the N word, etc. I expected a more mature crowd for a sort of niche game such as this, but apparently the players reflect the old, uneducated wild west attitude quite well. One might argue that that adds to the atmosphere, but personally I find it very annoying.

I'm just glad Fatshark did not add voice communication to the game. That'd be far too much to handle.

Yeah, well you know how people are once they connect to the internet...

99% of them wouldn't dare act the same way out in the real world, that is if they ever actually go outside. ;P

Most of the people I've dealt with have been pretty good and I've made a few friends through the game. I've met a few dicks though, I will admit!

That's a good thing! That means the game's population is growing! The bigger the population, the more whining jackasses you'll see around. It's a sign that the game is doing well! And that, in turn, should mean Fatshark have more of a reason to keep giving us new maps and stuff...

I'm not seeing this growth in population that you speak of. There are only 157 people online currently, and most of the servers that appear on my list (EST) are empty.

I'm glad I'm not affected by annoying players. Too much going on, usually I only notice someone said something when the round is over. Sometimes I feed them trolls, though, just to see how far it goes.

People tend to get in the most populated servers, so there will be always a ton of empty servers, and a few half-full. Yet some servers show wrong number of players. I guess it takes time to update their status or it's a bug needing fix.

I believe it also has todo with their server browser bug. Fatshark intentionally doesn't show full servers on its list right now (because displaying too many servers crashes something). So all the servers that are full don't even show up. Consequently everything looks empty.

Certainly most games I have played have been on full servers.

Even a lot of the empty servers aren't showing up. I've got 10 LaG servers and only 2 or 3 show at a time even when they are empty.

Yeah. Though it said there were 157 players, I could not find those players on my server browser. I definitely think there's something wrong with it, which is unfortunate because it gives off the illusion that the game is inactive to anyone who isn't informed.
