Low population
Is it me, or is the number of people, sadly, kinda low? When I first got the game 2 weeks ago, it said about 250 people whenever I started playing. I join in today, and there was barely more than 40. This makes me sad. It's a fun game, but the number of people worries me.

I just stopped in to express my opinion

Unfortunately, two things absolutely murdered this game. Being released without dedicated server, and not having in game voice chat. That's it. It's those two. Any other glaring issues, glitches, and unbalances could easily be overlooked if you could tell other players what to do, and have stable servers.

Yeah. It makes me sad SadSadSadSadSadSadSad

It also makes me feel like I wasted the 15 bucks. I know it's not much money, but still. Plus it will also be in my steam list, reminding me of that forever

RE: Low population
I'm not too worried, I think there will be an influx of more players when dedis are launched, I plan on seeding the story on a variety of mainstream game blogs that covered and reviewed Lead and Gold

I did warn them a whole lot of time before in the Paradox Forums that this game would fail without dedicated servers. Alas, seems they only realized that too late.

RE: Low population
My question is how that is realized now? Was there no think tank, or early play testing? Did anyone involved in the designing of the game never play an online video game?

It is realized now solely based upon everyones understanding, complaining and whining of there being no dedicated servers right now.

Everyone know's or has been told officially that the dedicated servers are coming, so its about time people stop questioning and being opinonated with a problem that is already noted an being fixed to stop such concerns.

The forums are also here to help better the game for future unknown problems and idea's you know.

That is not actually related to my complaint. My complaint is how did the game ever get out of the development stage without dedicated servers being planned? Makes no sense.

I am, however, very glad to have a developer staff that is clearly listening and making changes according to the voice of the community.

RE: Low population
Im not holding my breath for dedicated servers.. it's in their interest and it should have come with the game from start.. designers just don't get how negative these p2p games are on communities.. their short fall..

Another game came out before Xms last year..shouting how much they plan on dedicated servers and "they are in the makings".. they still have yet to release them..although they release other content they expect you to buy etc.. I dumped that game..

will wait about the 90 day mark and dump this one too..
To many games out there to worry what a company is doing with theirs..it either floats..or let it sink..

which game are you talking about?

did it have as close and constant feedback from many different people on the development team as this game does?

if they are going to try and market this on consoles, I think it would be in their best interest as a developer to follow through with what they say

we have no reason to doubt them, just be patient, I'd rather them release functional dedis rather than something half done

but I don' think it matters, either way people are going to whine
